About Rudgwick

Situated on the border between West Sussex and Surrey, about 6 miles west of Horsham and 12 miles south of Guildford, the village of Rudgwick has a population of about 3,000.

The village is served by 2 churches – Rudgwick Chapel and the parish church, Holy Trinity (including St John’s, Tismans), with whom we work together in seeking to bring Jesus Christ to the heart of our community.

Rudgwick is an active community with many clubs and societies, details of which are usually reported in the monthly Rudgwick Magazine. The village has a few shops, a health centre, a sports and community centre and a primary school, as well as an independent prep school, Pennthorpe.

The communities of Rudgwick and Bucks Green are very much integrated, with the village hall, recreation ground and sports and community centre being located in Bucks Green.

Positioned as it is within the Weald, between the Surrey Hills and the South Downs, Rudgwick is close to some lovely countryside. The disused Horsham-to-Guildford railway line passes through the village and now provides a popular route for walking and cycling.

Horsham, Guildford and Crawley provide more extensive shopping facilities, the south coast resorts, such as Worthing and Brighton are within easy reach and good rail services to London operate from both Horsham and Guildford.

We welcome newcomers to the village and warmly invite you to visit us at Rudgwick Chapel.
